intel core 2 duo e6300 @ 1.86 (not clocked)

2GB ram

GF 8600GT 512mb

win xp pro sp3

all the loadings exept the one what loads in race are normal 10-20 sec but to load in race it tooks like 5 -10 min

and if i get to race i dont have lag or anything and all the settins are full and resolution is 1400x1050 as the one what is for my monitor

seriously annoying is that loading i am considering to return the game to shop cus of the stuped loading time

1-2 minute loading times for this PC game is normal. No matter how fast your system is.  You still have to load all the graphics, video, sound and save game into memory. This again will take 1 - 2 minutes.  If it is actually taking 10 minutes to load - you should shutdown background apps, these are what are causing excessive load times.

No no no no no no no no no to the above post. 1 minute is a normal load time for a shooter to load the next 3 hours of gameplay, not a 5 minute race. The loading time problem is solved when you alt-tab, which under normal circumstances should have no effect on anything other than possibly slowing the loading. In addition, consoles are naught but computers themselves, also loading graphics, video, sound, and saving to their own memory (from a disc, no less, which is generally read at a slower rate than your harddrive). My system should be able to load this at least as fast if not faster than either the 360 or the PS3. There is something wrong.

What is your systems configuration?  My crystal ball, she's a broke! 

If you're going to post a complaint, please provide some information about your system. Did you shutdown b/g apps?

 

Yup. Shut down everything that wasn't needed to keep Vista alive.

Running Vista 32-bit, 8800gt, Intel E6750, and 3 gig of corsair ram. UAC is off. I've got an XP partition that I tried installing it on as well, but the load times were only slightly decreased and alt-tabbing still dramatically improved them.

What type of graphics card. UGH! Have you contacted DIS support? I would send them your DXDIAG and ask them to take a look at it for any ideas.

Lol, I told you my graphics card. nVidia GeForce 8800gt. Yup, contacted customer support and sent them my diagnostics.

This is a post I have seen on another board that has worked for me so I thought I would pass it along for others to try.

"Turn Vsync off! I heard there is some kind of bug in pure which involves your fps.
Force it off in the nvidia control panel and you'll have no problems with the loading times anymore"

I hope it works for you guys as it has for me. I don't have the long load time waiting for the beginning title movie to start or after events. Good luck

I didn't see or notice any difference with VSYNC forced on or forced off.  You're all high, I'm thinkin - faster load times = get a console!

You don't have to do Alt Tab...just click with the mouse or hit the Esc button to get through some of the loading screens.  Menus are FAST! As far as loading maps/races...i see about 30 - 40 seconds from track select to countdown race begins.

Seems normal to me.  System is nothing special.
